The HPC Services Team strives to provide a robust, dependable HPC resource that is attractable for users and enables efficient research throughput tailored for a diverse set of research needs at UNT.

Research computing is one of the forefront research activities that is enabling UNT's progression towards a nationally recognized research university. A variety of research activity is supported by the HPC initiative. Talon News

  • TALON featured in UNT's Research magazine article New World-class Facilities Support Innovative, Collaborative Research.
  • UNT HPC is in the final stages of expanding the Talon cluster. The expansion will increase storage and number of cores. It is expected to be implemented Spring 2011.
  • November NT Daily article: "Machine computes at atomic level"
  • Academic Computing and User services is planning a seminar entitled "An Introduction to High Performance Computing at UNT", scheduled for April 23, 2010 at 2 p.m. in Chilton Hall room 245. For more information, see the article in the March issue of Benchmarks, the CITC online news journal.
